The Hellam native is a 1985 graduate of Eastern. She was a four-year letterwinner on the E-Town women's volleyball team and a member of the 1988 All-East Region team. At one time, Hall held the NCAA Division III record for career service aces with 423.
After graduating with a degree in occupational therapy in 1989, Thompson has worked as an occupational therapist for the Capital Area Intermediate Unit and Pinnacle Home Health. She currently coaches junior varsity girls' volleyball at Lower Dauphin High School in Hummelstown. She and her husband, Scot, reside in Hummelstown, and have three children. OTHER AREA COLLEGE NOTES ESTEP HONORED AT HOBART: West York High School graduate Rob Estep was recently honored as the co-most valuable player of the Hobart men's basketball team for the 2008-2009 season.
A two-time All-Liberty League selection, Estep led the Statesmen and ranked fourth in the conference in scoring this winter with 15.7 points per game. A guard, he also averaged 3.5 rebounds per game, and ranked second in the league in free throw percentage (.800).
He netted a career-high 39 points in a 110-108 double-overtime loss to Union. Estep was tabbed the Liberty League's Guard of the Week four times.
