At the Annual Meeting, Fred Hassan, chairman and CEO, will report to shareholders on the company's performance and progress.
The proposed combination with Merck & Co., Inc., is not on the agenda for the Annual Meeting. However, shareholders of Schering-Plough and of Merck will have an opportunity to vote to approve the proposed combination at Special Meetings of Shareholders, anticipated to be held by each company later this year.
