Revenues were approximately $198,000 for the first quarter of 2009, compared to $3.54 million for the first quarter of 2008. Revenues were reduced from the first quarter of 2008 primarily due to the completion of activities in supporting service contracts for external programs.
Geoffrey Cox, GTC's chairman of the board and CEO, said: "This was a transformative quarter with the approval of ATryn in the US. This was followed with the US launch of the product in early May by our partner, Lundbeck, which has already received initial customer orders."
