Diane Colgan has become the vice president of sales development and marketing, while Sam Qureshi is the new director of produce and floral marketing.
In her new role, Colgan is responsible for the direction, control and coordination of Tops' core marketing functions. These include brand management, advertising, loyalty and interactive marketing, community and public relations.
In a newly created management position at Tops, Qureshi is responsible for the functions of the produce and floral departments relative to procurement, pricing, merchandising, marketing and advertising.
Most recently, Colgan led the marketing efforts of Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co. Inc., a 115-store supermarket company based in Charleston, S.C. Prior to that, Colgan served as vice president of marketing for BI-LO LLC, a former division of Royal Ahold, also based in South Carolina, with additional tenures at Gerber Products Co. and Belk department stores. Colgan earned a bachelor's in business administration from the College of Charleston and additional certifications from Cornell University and Wharton School of Business.
Qureshi previously worked for Tops Markets for 15 years, serving as produce manager, produce and floral field specialist, operations manager and store manager. Most recently, Qureshi served as co-manager for Wal-Mart.
Qureshi earned a master's of business administration from the University at Buffalo and a bachelor of science from the University of Lagos in Nigeria. He resides in Lockport with his wife, Karol.
