The new entity will combine PepsiAmericas' Caribbean operations with Cabcorp's Central American business and will produce and sell a wide range of products in the region. As agreed, Cabcorp will hold 82% of the combined company, while PepsiAmericas will control the remaining 18%.
The deal has been approved by the boards of directors of both companies. The transaction, which is subject to regulatory clearance, is expected to close in the third quarter of the year. Financial details were not disclosed.
