As a joint project, the NDTN is used by its various co-owners to lease bandwidth and deliver communication services nationwide across the Philippines. Utilizing ECI's XDM(R) Multi-Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP), NDTN Co-owners thru TELICPHIL will extend the NDTN to provide for a 2 X 10Gb/s DWDM backbone network and offer greater bandwidth capacity for new, revenue generating data and international-calling services, while enabling future migration to a next-generation network.
The XDM platform is part of ECI's 1Net business framework and enables operators to migrate from a legacy PSTN to next-generation networks, at their own pace, with ECI's Build-As-You-Grow(R) architecture.
"We selected ECI's XDM DWDM solution for its field-proven reliability and the flexibility it provides as a future-proof platform. Having established a strong mutual relationship during the past five years, we are confident in the company's technological leadership and top-quality service support," said Dave M. Rogers, Chief Technical Consultant of TELICPHIL.
"This win once again demonstrates the strength of our 1Net solution and innovative edge, and further validates our leadership in the Philippines market as a reliable and preferred network partner," said Gilles Pazner, President Asia-Pacific of ECI Telecom. "Our transport and broadband access solutions and services have been selected by all major operators in the Philippines, and we are excited to further extend our long-term relationship with TELICPHIL."
