Ms Driscoll will report to Craig Owens, CFO and chief administrative officer of the company. Ms Driscoll succeeds Leonard Griehs, who will retire at the end of July 2009, after a nearly 20-year career at Campbell. Mr Griehs joined Campbell in 1990 and was named vice president of investor relations in 1996.
Ms Driscoll will join Campbell in June 2009 and will work with Mr Griehs to ensure a smooth transition. Ms Driscoll will serve as the primary liaison between Campbell and investors, analysts and other important stakeholders in the investment community. In the role, she will interact with Campbell's executive leadership, including the board of directors, CEO, CFO and others.
Ms Driscoll has more than 20 years of finance and communications experience. Since 2006, she served as vice president of investor relations at Best Buy, which she joined in 2001 as director of investor relations. Prior to Best Buy, she was managing director of investor relations at Dain Rauscher in Minneapolis.
Mr Owens said: "Jennifer Driscoll brings a wealth of experience to the role. Throughout her career, she has consistently created value for the organizations at which she worked. She will be a welcome addition to our finance team. I fully anticipate a smooth transition due to our strong finance organization. I also want to acknowledge Len's many contributions to Campbell through the years."
