KeyCorp to cut 300 more jobs
KEY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- American bank holding company KeyCorp plans to eliminate 300 jobs on top of the nearly 1,000 job cuts made in 2008, according to reports.
The new round of layoffs is expected to be completed by June 30, 2009 and will leave the company with a total workforce of nearly 17,000 employees. These layoffs are expected to be spread across the company's 14-state network.
In April 2009, the company has eliminated nearly 30 to 35 employees in Greater Cleveland as part of restructuring efforts in community banking division. Recently, it has also cut jobs in internal security, information technology and other departments, according to reports.
