Electrolux (Japan) Ltd., which focuses on the Tokyo metropolitan area for marketing, will also strengthen sales efforts in such regions as Hokkaido, Tohoku and Kyushu. Through these measures, the firm aims to boost electronics sales from a little over 1 billion yen (US$10.5 million) at present to around 2 billion yen.
The company has developed one humidifier model and two heater models exclusively for the Japanese market, even reviewing the metal mold designs. The new products, manufactured in China, feature an anti-fall design and improved functionality of buttons, and come in two to three colors.
Electrolux (Japan) will secure sales floor space at retailers this year by offering both existing and new models, and then gradually switch to new products next year.
