The "What If 10 percent Giveback Program" allows participating Hawk Electronics retail and cellular customers to designate that ten percent of their total annual purchases' net proceeds be donated to Cook Children's Medical Center, including all consumer electronics, as well as their monthly Hawk-billed cellular services.
"Knowing that every child's life is sacred, it is our promise to improve the health of every child in our region through the prevention and treatment of illness, disease and injury," said Rick Merrill, president and CEO of Cook Children's Health Care System. "We are grateful to the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial and now, Hawk Electronics for extending the opportunity for new contributions."
Peter Ripa, Director of the 2009 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial PGA TOUR Golf Tournament said, "The Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial is committed to the Fort Worth community and our many worthy charities. This commitment continues in 2009. Last year, the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial generated over $6.6 million for over 100 Tarrant County charities, with Cook Children's Health Care System designated as our primary beneficiary."
Ripa continued, "We are very excited that our Official Cellular Sponsor, Hawk Electronics is extending their ground-breaking 'What If 10 percent' program through our event to Cook Children's, which uses contributions from the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial to pay for uncompensated care."

Teletouch and the Colonial recently announced that the Company had renewed its sponsorship of the 2009 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial PGA TOUR Golf Tournament in an exclusive deal for the third year running. This tournament is one of Ft. Worth's largest annual events, with over 40,000 to 60,000 daily spectators, staff and media visitors through the event week.
Cook Children's Health Care System is an integrated pediatric health care systems.
