SM PRIME HOLDINGS TO UNVEIL SKY GARDEN AT PHILIPPINES SM CITY N.EDSA

MANILA, May 29, 2009 (AsiaPulse via COMTEX) -- SPHXY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Philppines mall developer and operator SM Prime Holdings announced that it will unveil this weekits Sky Garden section which is located at SM City North EDSA Complex.

SM Prime, in its disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) Thursday, said the Sky Garden is a 400-meter elevated walkway with a park-like ambiance and green architecture.

"At SM Prime, we eagerly explore new designs and architecture that can be applied to our malls. The Sky Garden is one such innovation that not only enhances the look and feel of SM City North EDSA, but also highlights our thrust to bring our customers closer to nature.

"This mall has dramatically evolved over the last two decades and sets the tone for our future mall development and expansion," said SM Prime president Hans T. Sy.

SM Prime added Sky Garden mall goers can stroll from one building to another through gardens of tropical trees and flowering plants and shrubs, the pathway shaded by a long stretch of white canopy.

This adds another 31,000 square meters to the countrys largest mall which now measures a total of 456,000 square meters in gross floor area. Moreover, soon to be redeveloped is the lower level of the malls existing carpark building which will be transformed into a vibrant home and lifestyle center.
