NextGenTel announces purchase of broadband and VOIP business of Tele2 Norway
TLSN | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- NextGenTel, a Norwegian broadband supplier and a subsidiary of
TeliaSonera (STO:TLSN) (LSE:TEE) (HEX:TLS1V) (Nasdaq:TLSN), declared on
29 May the acquisition of the broadband and VOIP business of Tele2
Norway for a purchase price of NOK100m, cash and debt free.
The acquired business, which will strengthen NextGenTel's position in
the Norwegian market, comprises 97,000 broadband subscriptions of which
23,000 are VOIP subscriptions (reported as of 31 March 2009) together
with technical assets and key supplier contracts.
Following this acquisition, NextGenTel's market share on the ADSL
market will increase from 15% to approximately 22%. Both the Tele2
national network and the customers' equipment will be easily integrated
with NextGenTel's network.
