Eastern York School District was delayed for two hours Tuesday morning after someone flattened tires on Red Lion Bus Co. buses, said business manager Teresa Weaver.
Lower Windsor Township Police Chief Dave Sterner said the front tires on all 22 buses in the company's lot on East Prospect Road were deflated sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
The tires were not slashed, just deflated, he said.
"My guess is it was juveniles who were pulling a prank or wanted to get out of going to school or wanted to get someone else out of going to school," Sterner said.
Weaver said the school district has about 2,600 students.
The Spring Grove Area School District was put on a two-hour delay Monday morning after someone deflated tires on about 50 school buses.
Southwestern Regional Police Chief Gregory Bean said some people have said the incident was intended as a prank, but neither the district or police see it that way.
Police are investigating both incidents.
