The company also said that its development team is working on its next major release, Veeam Backup & Replication 4.0, due in late Q3 2009. Version 4.0 is planned to bring more customer-requested functionality, including leveraging the new VMware vStorage APIs.
Until 15 June 2009, the company is offering a limited-time promotion, whereby customers using competing products for VMware ESX and ESXi backup, replication and recovery can replace these products with Veeam Backup & Replication at 50% off Veeam's usual suggested retail price. Customers must provide proof of purchase to qualify for this offer.
Veeam Backup 3.1 is available immediately, with North American pricing unchanged at USD499 USD per socket.
