O'Neil joined WellCare in April 2008 and was previously a partner at DLA Piper US LLP, general counsel of the MCI Group and an assistant US attorney. In his new position, reporting to the executive chairman of WellCare, Charles Berg, he will continue to lead the company's efforts to resolve pending investigations and litigation.
Susanin joined WellCare in November 2008 as VP and chief counsel of Dispute Management, overseeing the company's litigation and assisting O'Neil in managing various government and regulator investigations. Most recently he was counsel to and then a partner in the Gibbons law firm.
Earlier Susanin was a federal prosecutor at the US Department of Justice, an assistant US attorney for the District of Columbia and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and an associate independent counsel on the Whitewater investigation.
