LADWP is the largest municipally-owned utility in the nation providing water and electricity to more than 3.8 million residents and businesses in a 464-square-mile area. The Board of Water and Power Commissioners adopted a more aggressive implementation of its Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) Program to meet a goal of 20% renewable energy mix by 2010 and a 35% goal by 2020.
