Ladenburg Thalmann adds three new executives

Jun 04, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- LTS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Ladenburg Thalmann & Company, a subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services, has expanded its equity research and institutional sales coverage in the financial services sector with the addition of Bradley Ball, Edwin Groshans, Jr, and Ariel Schochet.

Mr Ball, Mr Groshans and Mr Schochet comprise Ladenburg's new financial services group, which is based in New York and will cover a cross-section of financial institutions.

Mr Ball joins Ladenburg as managing director of equity research, following a three-year stint at Citigroup's Citi investment research where he was director of equity research and senior specialty and consumer finance analyst.

Mr Groshans joins Ladenburg as managing director of equity research, pending regulatory approval. Prior to joining Ladenburg, he worked as a portfolio manager at Omega Investment Advisors.

Mr Schochet joins Ladenburg as managing director of institutional sales, pending regulatory approval. Prior to joining Ladenburg, he served as a portfolio manager in the financial services group at Omega Investment Advisors.
