In this position Dobbs will be responsible for Alaska Airlines' labour relations function, working with the airline's six union groups, and will direct the company's employee benefits, employee relations, training and development, recruitment, workers compensation and employee travel services departments.
Dobbs has worked at Alaska Airlines for 22 years and most recently wsa vice president of human resources, strategy and culture. She is also a member of the Alaska Air Group Executive Committee.
She is succeeding Dennis Hamel, who will retire on 1 October. Hamel has been employed at Alaska Airlines for 25 years.
