The company reported a decrease in consolidated revenue passenger miles for the month of 1.7% compared to May 2008, while consolidated available seat miles rose by 16.1%, resulting in a decline in load factor of 11.6 percentage points at 63.8%.
Revenue passenger miles for Copa Airlines for May 2009 fell by 2.3% compared to the same month last year, while available seat miles showed an increase of 18.4%. This resulted in a load factor of 64.9%, a drop of 13.8 percentage points.
Aero Republica's revenue passenger miles for May 2009 grew by 2.1% compared to May 2008, while available seat miles increased by 4.8%, resulting in a decrease in load factor of 1.5 percentage points at 57.8%.
