Higher and Tertiary Education Minister Stan Mudenge led the Swazi delegation, which included the king's wife Nkosikhati Lagija and Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Minister Lutfo Dlamini, to the two companies.
DZL managing director Mr Thomson Mabika briefed the King on the history of the company, privatised in 1997.
It produces about 25 000 litres of milk per day and a variety of other products like cheese and ice cream for the local and export markets.
At Willowvale Mazda Motor Industries, chief executive officer Mr Ben Khumalo briefed the King on the company's operations before he led him through the vehicle assembly plant.
The plant produces about 130 vehicles a month and 2 000 a year. The King and his delegation left Harare for Bulawayo at noon.
King Mswati is expected to visit cultural sites and farms in Bulawayo before joining other heads of state and government attending the 13th Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa Summit in Victoria Falls.
He was seen off at Harare International Airport by President Mugabe, Media, Information and Publicity Minister Webster Shamu, Harare Metropolitan Province Governor and Resident Minister David Karimanzira, senior Government officials and service chiefs.
During his visit, King Mswati called for the removal of the illegal sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by some Western countries and pledged Sadc's support for Zimbabwe.
On Thursday, he toured Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor Dr Gideon Gono's New Donnington Farm in Norton, where he commissioned an 8 000-tonne silo project.
The Swazi monarch held a closed-door meeting with President Mugabe at State House on the same day, where they discussed political, economic and cultural relations between Zimbabwe and Swaziland and political developments in Africa.
Zimbabwe and Swaziland enjoy cordial relations. King Mswati chairs the Sadc Organ on Politics, Defence and Security and he played a pivotal role in talks between Zanu-PF and the MDC formations that culminated in the formation of the inclusive Government.
