Dongfeng Nissan reported completely depleted inventories in May, and received orders for over 50,000 vehicles.
Ren Yong, vice general manager of the Dongfeng Nissan, said that his company is currently focused on adjusting its supply to accord with market demand.
He revealed that the proportion of vehicles sales volume with emissions under 1.6L this year decreased to 63 per cent from 67 per cent in 2008, and that of mid- and high-end vehicles stood at about 40 per cent. The figures show that 1China's policy to encourage the consumption of low emissions vehicles didn't bear much influence on Dongfeng Nissan, which is good news for the carmaker's development.
Dongfeng Nissan's ranked first in terms of business performance among all of Nissan's joint ventures across the world. The results may give China's branch more say in Nissan's platform development, localization, and new product introductions.
Moreover, Dongfeng Nissan will realize the production of the CVT progressive transmission and the VQ engine, which represent Nissan's most advanced technologies, this year. The world's leading carmaker's most popular compact car, named March, is to hit the road in China as well.
It all signals that China has become the regional market to receive the most technological investments from Nissan.
