June 10, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- WENR Corp. (OTC: WNRC | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) plans to lease a television channel through a Reno company that is currently in discussions to air the channel through a major cable company.
WENR will have the ability to air via broadcast cable nationally within several months. WENR, through its subsidiary production company, will own the content of the programming.
The company's goal is to develop a fully functioning cable network and broadcast to approximately six million subscribers, with the initial broadcast based in Reno, Nevada (which, has subscribers across California, Nevada, and Utah).
"This is a tremendous opportunity to generate another growing business inside of WENR," noted Dan Green of WENR. "The addition of this television channel will not only provide a new revenue stream, but provide an excellent public relations avenue. Clearly, this is no small undertaking and we will look to develop an office in Reno and potentially Las Vegas, Nevada."
WENR is a holding company, which directly owns or owns marketing rights in various growth stage companies.
