Nighthawk Systems Gets Initial Order from Inland Power and Light

Jun 13, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- NIHK | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Nighthawk Systems, Inc. announced that it has received an initial order for 500 of its CEO700 wireless disconnect units from Inland Power and Light company of Spokane, Washington.

Doug Saathoff, Nighthawk's CEO, said, "We are extremely happy to receive this order from Inland Power. We now have a presence in this part of the country, with Inland Power joining Avista Utilities of Spokane as a Nighthawk customer. As our customers look to us for new products and assistance with smart grid functionality, we continue to bring new customers into the fold with the proven benefits of the CEO700 wireless disconnect product. In many instances, the CEO700 is the first step a utility takes toward automating meter controls."

According to Nighthawk Systems, Inland Power is the largest electric cooperative in Washington, providing electricity to over 35,000 commercial, residential and agricultural customers in eastern Washington and northern Idaho. The CEO700 gives electric utilities the ability to wirelessly disconnect and reconnect power to residential electric meters from a centralized location.

Nighthawk is a provider of intelligent devices and systems that allow for the centralized, on-demand management of assets and processes.
