Together Rebuilding Together and PBG will work to clean and landscape the Green Family's home, as well as, re-painting the exterior of the home.
"At PBG, our employees set the community outreach agenda. They identify local causes that mean something to them and to their families," said Catherine Patterson, Sr. Manager, The PBG Foundation & Community Outreach. "Here in Fairfield, we have decided to assist the Green Family with their home."
The Green Family project with Rebuilding Together is one of 14 various community projects taking place over two days for PBG. It is expected that nearly 400 volunteers will participate in both New York and Connecticut.
Rebuilding Together Fairfield County is part of Rebuilding Together, a national nonprofit organization working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize neighborhoods by providing home repair and renovation services at no cost to those in need. Through the support of corporate sponsors, local businesses and the hands-on work of over 200,000 volunteers, Rebuilding Together renovates and repairs nearly 10,000 homes and nonprofit facilities annually.
In addition to its core home repair work, Rebuilding Together renovates community centers and conducts home modification and repair programs that focus on elder home safety, energy efficiency, veterans housing, and disaster recovery and reconstruction. Rebuilding Together has more than 200 affiliates nationwide.
