ECI said that Togo Telecom has selected it to deliver an end-to-end turnkey solution for a new high-speed IP network in the country. The turnkey project will deliver one of the first fiber-to-the-curb (FTTC) networks in the region, providing residential and business customers with high-speed Internet access and VoIP services.
With national fixed-line broadband penetration still in the single digits, the added capacity allows Togo Telecom to alleviate the growing demand for bandwidth-intensive services in the country.
ECI is fully managing and executing the project, including the network audit, planning and design of the FTTC solution, sites survey, installation and commissioning, network integration and solution optimization. The flexible infrastructure platform will allow Togo Telecom to scale up its network to provide higher bandwidth services in the future, including IPTV.
ECI is currently implementing the first phase of the three-phase project.
