June 17, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- Alliant Techsystems (NYSE: ATK -) has received $42 million in small-caliber ammunition orders from the U.S. Army's sustainment command in Rock Island, Illinois.
Work on the contracts will be performed by ATK at its Army ammunition plant in Independence, Missouri. The orders are for the production of 5.56mm, 7.62mm and .50-caliber ammunition.
