MONTREAL, Jun 17, 2009 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- GNW | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Michelle Stoopler, grade 5 student of the United Talmud Torah School was the recipient of the annual Meaning of Home writing contest. As part of the prize, Genworth Financial Canada is donating $5,000 in her name to Habitat for Humanity Montreal.

An initiative of Genworth Financial Canada, more than 2,000 students in the country have participated in this contest which aims to raise students' awareness about the importance of having a home.

The sum, allowing two low-income Montreal families to become owners, will be handed over to the organization tomorrow during the groundbreaking ceremony of the new duplex situated in the St-Henri neighbourhood.
