Despite the lingering financial crisis, Intel still sticks to its plan for the Dalian plant, Kirby Jefferson, general manager for the Dalian plant once pointed out in March, describing the plant as a long-term and strategic investment.
The Dalian plant, which kicked off construction in September 2007, will accomplish workshop construction in the second half of 2009 and will be likely to initiate equipment installation & testing in the first half of 2010.
The software outsourcing industry of Dalian has accumulated abundant talents and resources. Intel hopes to cooperate with companies in the industry, noted Ian Yang.
