The rate decrease also applies to the company's premier First Select Portfolio, which combines homeowners and personal auto insurance, the company said in a news release.
First Insurance is the oldest and largest property and casualty insurer with headquarters in Hawai'i, with assets totaling more than $602 million and liabilities of $404 million as of March 31, the company said.
Bank foundation gives IHS grant
The First Hawaiian Bank Foundation has awarded a $10,000 grant to the Institute for Human Services to support a nursing co-op in the institute's Health Services Program.
IHS Hawai'i remains the only 24-hour walk-in emergency shelter on O'ahu, providing a full range of services to homeless men, women and families with children. The agency operates two facilities, one for men and one for women and children.
First Hawaiian Bank Foundation is the charitable arm of First Hawaiian Bank. In 2008, the foundation and bank contributed $3.5 million to more than 350 nonprofit organizations.
Marriott offering resort discounts
