FBR Capital Markets Announces Promotions within Its Institutional Brokerage

Those promoted include:

    --  Timothy Lilly - Managing Director and Head of Institutional Sales in
        Arlington
    --  Michael Derby - Managing Director, Sales Trading, New York
    --  Mance Edmondson - Managing Director, Sales Trading, Arlington
    --  Kevin McKenna - Managing Director, Sales Trading, New York

    --  Craig Warwick - Managing Director, Sales Trading, New York

Mr. Lilly has been a member of FBR Capital Markets' Sales team since 2003. As head of the firm's Sales team in Arlington, he is responsible for the team's overall sales strategy and is a principal broker. Mr. Lilly holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond.

Mr. Derby, with 15 years of Wall Street experience, joined FBR Capital Markets in 2008. He was previously a Managing Director on Bear Stearns' Sales Trading team and earlier in his career held positions in institutional sales and trading at Merrill Lynch and Kadem Capital, LLC. Mr. Derby holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Providence College.

Mr. Edmondson has been a member of FBR Capital Markets' Sales Trading team since 2000. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Carolina University.

Mr. McKenna has more than 13 years of sales trading experience. Having begun his career as a sales trader at Credit Suisse First Boston, he joined FBR Capital Markets in 2003. Mr. McKenna received a Bachelor of Science in finance from Manhattan College.

Mr. Warwick, a 15-year veteran of the financial services industry, joined FBR Capital Markets in 2002. Prior to FBR Capital Markets he was a sales trader for ABN Amro, and earlier in his career, he was a member of Morgan Stanley's Equity Sales team. Mr. Warwick holds a Bachelor of Arts in government from St. Lawrence University.
