XRX | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) earned recognition from a number of
organizations for its initiatives in corporate citizenship
in the first half of 2009.

"Our commitment to citizenship began decades ago as the right thing to
do," said Ursula
Burns, president, Xerox Corporation. "Today that commitment is
integrated into our business strategy and has earned us recognition from
stakeholders for delivering value not only to society and the world at
large but also to our business and the bottom line."

World's Most Admired Companies

Xerox was ranked the World's
Most Admired Company in the computer industry in FORTUNE
Magazine's annual reputation survey. Xerox jumped to No. 1 from last
year's industry ranking of No. 4. Survey results were featured in the
March 16 issue of FORTUNE. To arrive at each company's industry
ranking, scores were averaged from these nine criteria: innovation,
people management, use of corporate assets, community/environment,
quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment,
quality of products/services and global competitiveness.

Ethics and Governance

World's Most Ethical Companies

Ethisphere named Xerox one of the World's
Most Ethical Companies in 2009. Companies were measured against
seven distinct categories: corporate citizenship and responsibility;
corporate governance; innovation that contributes to the public well
being; industry leadership; executive leadership and tone from the top;
legal, regulatory and reputation track record; and internal systems and
ethics/compliance program.

America's 100 Best Corporate Citizens

In Corporate Responsibility Officer (CRO) magazine's tenth annual
listing of the 100
Best Corporate Citizens for 2009, Xerox ranked 16th, up from its
2007 rank of 49. The list ranks 1,000 companies on their performance in
seven key areas: environment, climate change, human rights,
philanthropy, employee relations, financial and governance.

GovernanceMetrics International

GovernanceMetrics
International (GMI) released its new ratings and research reports
for all 4,200 companies in their system. Xerox was one of the 43
companies, or one percent, that achieved an overall global rating of
10.0, the highest GMI assigns.

Sustainability

2009 Green Outsourcing Survey List

Xerox placed first and received a record breaking 440 nominations in the 2009
Green Outsourcing Survey by Brown-Wilson Group and "The Black Book
of Outsourcing." Energy costs and the impact on the company's reputation
continue to drive the selection of vendors who offer green options. The
yearly ranking is based on responses from more than 24,000
executives worldwide.

FTSE4Good

For 2009 Xerox met the FTSE4Good criteria for corporate responsibility,
human rights, environmental actions, social and stakeholder engagement
and countering bribery. Created in 2001 and managed by FTSE Group, the
independent global index company, the FTSE4Good
Index Series is a series of benchmark and tradable indices for
socially responsible investors. Xerox Corporation was named to the index
for the first time in March 2008.
