According to General Dynamics its Advanced Multi-Mode Transceivers have been specifically modified for the LRO mission. Communicating at S-Band frequencies through the NASA Ground Network and Deep Space Network, the LRO will use General Dynamics' tranceivers to send health and status updates and receive command instructions from NASA.
General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems produces, operates and maintains mission systems for the space and defence industries.
