MTS Allstream Provides WorldSkills Calgary 2009 with Secure and Reliable Network

MTS Allstream Inc. ("MTS Allstream") will provide WorldSkills Calgary 2009 with a secure and reliable, information technology network during the largest skills Competition in the world to be held September 1 to 7 at Calgary Stampede Park.

It will then be distributed on-site at Calgary Stampede Park to manage an extensive network of systems and equipment during the 40th WorldSkills Competition."

MTS Allstream will also provide support for streaming audio and video and secure wireless Internet available to Competitors and guests throughout the Stampede Park grounds during the seven day event.

WorldSkills Calgary 2009 involves 900 Competitors from 51 countries and regions competing in 45 different skills and will showcase some of the best up-and-coming young professionals from trades, service and vocational programs from around the world. Hailed as the pinnacle of global skills, trades, and technology competition, this biennial event promotes excellence and international competency industry standards. Skill categories include Social & Personal Services, Creative Arts & Fashion, Information & Communication Technology, Manufacturing (& Engineering) Technology, Construction & Building Technology, and Transportation & Logistics.
