A new portfolio of language interfaces, MAC and expanded Windows OS support, and heightened performance for the solution's Business Studio management platform offers software publishers with more customization options to fit their specific needs -- regardless of platform, location or language.
With added support for three new languages, HASP SRM's new localization features enhance the end-user experience and simplify software licensing development, deployment and management for software publishers. The HASP SRM Admin Control Center enables software publishers to provide Chinese-, Italian-, and Japanese-speaking IT administrators at end-user sites to more easily understand, manage, monitor and maintain their software licenses.
China-based Guang Dong Hallon Network Technology received one of the first Chinese language HASP SRM systems.
Yang Zhan Rong, manager of the company's development division, said, "Our business is mainly software development, technical services, and intelligent network system integration in the education information industry. The new features of HASP SRM 4.0 guarantee the security and growth of our software products. For Guag Dong Hallon, localization is a must have tool. The Chinese interface makes HASP SRM 4.0 not only easier to use, but enables us to further understand and truly utilize all of the features that the solution has to offer, helping us to develop best-in-class software products quickly and cost effectively."
In addition, HASP SRM now supports software-based licensing, locking, and product activation for software publishers' Intel-based Mac applications, providing flexible software licensing options for enablement of new business models. With this release, HASP SRM supports a variety of CrossLocking licensing models for the Mac, now enabling customers to completely separate the protection process from business processes. With HASP SRM 4.0, business decision-makers can select which type of HASP SRM Protection Keys (hardware or software-based) and which license models to apply to each product after the software has been protected by the engineering team, increasing distribution flexibility.
"HASP SRM is consistently high-performing, providing software publishers with robust security and easy-to-use management tools. Through a rich set of features, the latest version of HASP SRM offers even more extensibility and manageability, enabling Mac developers to leverage our unique CrossLocking technology that enables hardware- and software-based protection and secure licensing in a single solution," said Chris Holland, vice president of software rights management at SafeNet. "HASP's ongoing success is one of the key drivers behind the recent merger between SafeNet and Aladdin Knowledge Systems. We look forward to continued industry leadership and the ability to offer an even broader line of software rights management solutions to meet the needs of software publishers worldwide."
