PowerRating -- A dispute between eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) and the founders of Skype may threaten the application and its IPO, which is loosely scheduled for the first half of 2010, according to a Bloomberg report. The founders still own a piece of technology that Skype needs for international calls, and have threatened to yank it in the midst of accusing eBay of breaching a licensing deal. eBay sued them in London to prevent that from happening, but the case is will likely not go to court until the first three months of 2010. The timing and uncertainty surrounding the case will likely affect the IPO, and may hinder the amount eBay can gain from the company. CEO John Donahoe has said the company is worth about $2 billion and has already rejected one offer for Skype.
