Over the past 10 years ExxonMobil has reportedly donated more than USD2.5m to SECME to support its educational programmes, including its summer institute for teachers, K-12 in-service professional development component, national and state programme development and SECME scholars.
The new 2009 ExxonMobil contribution will support a summer teachers' institute and other programmes including a scholarship programme for young people pursing engineering and related fields.
ExxonMobil Foundation is the primary philanthropic arm of the Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) and is engaged in a range of philanthropic activities for advancing education, health and science.
