SDL acquires XyEnterprise for $14.7 million

SDLI | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- SDL, a provider of information management solutions, has completed the acquisition of XyEnterprise, a developer of content management and publishing solutions, from JNNV, Key Principal Partners, Cenveo Corporation, Friendly Capital Partners and others. SDL has acquired XyEnterprise for a consideration of $14.7 million.

The acquisition is being funded from SDL's existing cash resources. A global business, XyEnterprise has a turnover of $9.9 million.

With the acquisition of XyEnterprise, SDL intends to expand its content management product offering and technical capabilities.

According to SDL, the transaction will see Kevin Duffy, the president and CEO of XyEnterprise, become the CEO of SDL XySoft which will combine the collective strengths of SDL Trisoft and XyEnterprise.

Mark Lancaster, chairman and CEO of SDL, said: "XyEnterprise's content management products and expertise will enable us to scale faster to meet the evolving market needs of our clients to provide multilingual content to their customers instantly and more cost effectively across their enterprise so achieving competitive advantage in the global marketplace."
