PowerRating -- General Electric (NYSE:GE) chief executive Jeffrey Immelt said that the period of economic crisis is "behind us" while commenting at the London School of Business on Monday, according to a Bloomberg report. He said that GE plans to introduce more products in the next to years then ever before, adding goods at a variety of price levels, and spend more on research and development than last year. "I would say we have almost a fully functioning capital market . . . In some way, shape or form, 2010 and beyond will see economic growth. How positive it is remains to be seen," he added. Immelt also said the company would engage in more public-private partnerships, in areas such as transportation, health care and technology.
