PowerRating -- Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) has hired Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) to find a buyer for Razorfish, which it gained as part of a $6 billion acquisition of aQuantive in 2007, according to a Financial Times report. Only a few days after Microsoft unveiled a digital advertising alliance with Publicis, that company is emerging as a leading bidder for Razorfish. According to a recent interactive agency report from RECMA, Razorfish is the world's fifth-largest interactive agency, with a global workforce of 1,960 and clients like Nike (NYSE:NKE), Kraft (NYSE:KFT) and Audi. Publicis' Modem/Dialog organization is just ahead with about 2,100 employees. FT indicated Microsoft could get about $700 million for the company.
