PowerRating -- Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) said that the previously announced Windows Marketplace for Mobile application store will roll out later this year with 600 applications, both premium and free, according to Fierce Wireless. It will be released in conjunction with the new Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, and users can pay for apps with credit cards or operator billing. One added bonus is the ability of a user to return an app within 24 hours if he or she is not satisfied. Developers can set their own prices in each market of the 29 debut countries supported by Windows Marketplace for Mobile, and collect 70% of revenue from all downloads. Microsoft is expected to start accepting developer contributions for consideration later this summer.
