According to Wincanton, this contract win builds on a 13-year partnership and existing warehousing and transport operations at seven locations in the UK.
The deal will see Wincanton utilize both its own vehicles as well as Argos's inter-distribution center (inter DC) trunking fleet to handle around 35,000 inbound container movements per annum.
The joint Argos/Wincanton team will also take responsibility for the planning and implementing of port to DC container movements, inter DC trunking scheduling and domestic supplier connections.
Liam McElroy, business unit director at Wincanton, said: "It gives us great satisfaction to win such a significant piece of business. By using Argos's fleet, we are able to ensure that both the transport and warehousing operations work together to generate further efficiencies across the contract."
