Beane, who will report to Chief Executive Dane Douetil, will join Brit (LSE: BRE) in September. He will be a member of the group?s executive management committee.
At XL Capital, Beane was responsible for international insurance and administration. He had previously served in senior roles in the group in human resources and risk.
In a statement, Douetil cited Beane?s ?breadth of experience in the smooth running and successful development of the operations of large financial services organizations.?
