ORBCOMM Appoints Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

FORT LEE, N.J., Jul 02, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- ORBC | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- ORBCOMM Inc. (Nasdaq: ORBC), a global satellite data communications company focused on two-way Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications, today announced that Brian Bell has joined ORBCOMM as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Mr. Bell will focus his efforts on all aspects of ORBCOMM's selling processes, including current accounts, developing new accounts and leveraging the sales and network infrastructure within ORBCOMM to develop new business opportunities.

Brian Bell has 19 years of business development and sales leadership in the Telecommunications Services industries with leading global companies such as British Telecom (BT), Verizon, IBM, and MCI. Most recently, Mr. Bell worked at BT and was responsible for developing and managing BT's Global Partner relationships in North America. Prior to BT, Mr. Bell spent 10 years with MCI (now known as Verizon Business) and 3 years with IBM in senior management roles that included developing large account sales teams, global alliance strategies and channel sales organizations. Through these experiences, Mr. Bell has developed an extensive network of relationships with major corporations around the world, which provide him a unique perspective on the convergence of information technology, communications and global vertical industries.

Mr. Bell is graduate of the University of Scranton and a MBA recipient from the University of Pittsburgh.
