PowerRating -- Reports that some new iPhone 3G S phones have been affected by overheating issues have prompted Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) to add a warning screen to the device should it reach dangerous temperatures. Some phone users have alleged that it does not work properly when hot, and that white versions of the 3G S overheat enough to turn the casing pink. While the young female demographic may not mind, Apple has addressed the issue on its website, explaining the new warning screen and saying, "Store iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS in a place where the temperature is between -20 and 45 C (-4 to 113 F). Don't leave the device in your car, because temperatures in parked cars can exceed this range." Stay tuned for more idiot warnings from Apple about not microwaving, boiling, or eating the device.
