The company added 100 million users in the past 10 months, after it claimed the first 100 million users in August 2008.
The breathtaking growth has made Alipay the world's largest E-payment platform in terms of users, surpassing Paypal with 180 million users.
Unlike Paypal, whose users spread around 190 countries and regions in the world, Alipay's users are mainly in China.
The rapid development of Alipay proves the fast growth in China's E-commerce, said Shao Xiaofeng, president of the company.
Despite the largest number of users, Alipay still falls behind Paypal in terms of transaction value.
