'Carrefour awards EUR 180 million IT outsourcing deal to IBM'
IBM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- IBM has won a EUR 180 million, five-year contract from French
supermarket group Carrefour to modernise, manage and maintain its
French IT infrastructure and related applications. The agreement is
intended to optimise Carrefour's IT costs, notably in France, to secure
and improve service levels for end-users, to ensure the success of
ongoing strategic projects and to rationalise sub-contracting. IBM will
host all of Carrefour France's computer infrastructure at its first
green European data centre in Montpellier.
