BEIJING, Jul 07, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --
GOOG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- US-based online search heavyweight Google Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) posts advertising on China's public transportation vehicles for the first time.

In detail, Google China posts advertising on Beijing subway line 1, Guangzhou subway line 1, and 150 bus stop pillars in Beijing.

The move aims to promote mobile search services. The unit is bullish on mobile search and keeps leading position in the domestic market in terms of technology and products, noted an executive for Google China. In the 3G era, mobile phone users are eager for related 3G applications and Google will offer various 3G applications to more users.

Google China once tried putting advertising on guideposts in May 2008 and extends its reach to buses and subways this year, noted the executive, adding that it will probably make an attempt on other adverting ways. The company will not rule out the possibility of putting advertising on TVs and newspapers, guessed analysts.
