Mining giant Anglo American PLC (AAL.LN) will name John Parker as its chairman Friday, the Financial Times reported Thursday. Parker, who has been National Grid PLC's (NG.LN) chairman since 2002, will replace Mark Moody-Stuart. Anglo American didn't comment to the newspaper Thursday night. Representatives of Xstrata have met with some of Anglo American's shareholders as the company continues to pursue a merger, according to a Dow Jones Newswires report earlier Thursday.
