ENSW | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- The Planon Group, a provider of enterprise real estate and facilities management software, has announced the introduction of its latest version of software.

The company stated that it is now the only Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) solution provider that offers the ability to manage both fixed and flexible workspaces in one seamless out-of-the-box solution. Planon said its latest version (2009a) builds upon its mission to help companies reduce costs and improve environmental sustainability by smarter utilization of facilities and real estate assets.

"We are reaching the perfect storm around economic drivers and energy consumption. Unprecedented increases in energy costs, a workplace in transformation and the economic climate have made going green not just a corporate responsibility, but an economic imperative," said Pierre Guelen, Founder and CEO, Planon Group. "Planon's latest version is a new and powerful software solution that will help companies drive energy efficiency and cost-reduction."

Planon went on to say that the latest version is geared toward helping companies reduce energy footprint and energy consumption while delivering the full cost savings promise of IWMS with new Microsoft Outlook scheduling integration and enhanced space management capability.

Planon reported that the latest version brings many new features, including:

- Energy Management: Latest version offers single point of control for monitoring managing and reporting energy usage of facility resources for more efficient operations and energy management.

- Global Support for Sustainability Standards - Latest version offers support for sustainable building rating systems, including LEED in the U.S. and BREEAM in Europe.

- Smart Workplace Management: Planon's latest version supports fixed and flexible office management (hot desking), work from home and campus mobile scenarios. With Planon, companies can seamlessly shift workspace designation from fixed to flexible and have it immediately available for employees to use. Not just another reservations solution, Planon now includes the option to schedule flexible workspaces and the equipment employees need right from Microsoft Outlook. It also automatically creates and tracks the work orders needed to process the reservation in order to make sure facilities and real estate professionals can serve flexible workspace demand without adding additional headcount.

- Seamless Exchange Integration: A way to manage all aspects of room and resource scheduling directly from Microsoft Outlook with no plug in to deploy. Now Fortune 1000 companies can deploy flexible workplace and equipment scheduling to 1000s of end users with no additional IT support. No new application interface means no additional training is required and encourages rapid end-user adoption. Rooms and flexible workspaces are easier to find and attendees and rooms are booked together in one simple process along with meeting services, such as cater ordering and A/V directly from Microsoft Outlook.

- Next Generation Workplace Performance Management: All the information about flexible workspace is integrated into the core Planon IWMS system to give executive management a complete overview of exactly how all types of space are being used. Customers can determine when space vacancy will emerge, where and how much.

The latest version of Planon's Enterprise Solution is now generally available.
