Last week, the Carrollton-based maker of wheeled shoes for kids named Tom Hansen, president of TM Advertising in Dallas, as its new CEO. Hessong has temporarily led the company since Heelys' former CEO left in February after less than a year on the job.
Heelys will pay Hansen, 52, an annual salary of $430,000 plus a one-time bonus of $75,000 if he remains with the company through Dec. 31, the SEC documents said. Within six months, Heelys also will grant Hansen an option to buy 350,000 shares of the company's common stock. One-quarter of the options will become vested each Aug. 1 over four years.
